Welcome to Artemissia, my name is Megan Tomaras and I am the founder of Artemissia Shop, my online boutique that offers unique handmade artisan goods from the Mediterranean to the world.

It would be fair to say that I have become a philhellene by definition, and to those who know me that wouldn’t come as a surprise.

I have been fortunate to have travelled extensively throughout Greece and the Mediterranean, and on my journey have been blessed to have met some wonderful people. I also made connections with some truly talented local artisans who made some of the most unique products. Of course the shopper in me over indulged and more than a few mementos were purchased.

After returning home from my travels I would often get many comments from friends and strangers alike about something I was wearing or a unique handbag I was carrying. Most often than not the follow up would be “where can I get this?” or “the quality is unbelievable”.

So naturally it made sense to bring all things that I love together - shoes, handbags, all things summer, and travelling throughout Greece and the Mediterranean to create a business that not only supports the beautiful people who create the product, but also my passion to find unique artisan products and bring them to you.
